TRIBUTE TO THE KING ELVIS
So hard to believe you rest in a grave,
You the figure, filled with energy,
You showed us how to be brave,
Now your enthusiasm misses me;
Started to work as a bus driver,
With your talent, became a famous singer,
You should have done so much more
But fate betrayed you like a doll
Your memory remains as the core
Of your kingdom Rock’n’roll
Life is not just a couple of twists,
So much people hated the way you moved,
You fought with your talent, not with your fists,
Your guitar wasn’t just a piece of wood;
Music was your biggest passion,
And you deserved all the attention
You should have done so much more
But fate betrayed you like a doll
Your memory remains as the core
Of your kingdom Rock’n’roll
So hard to believe you rest in a grave,
Thanks to records, I can listen to your voice,
For the Colonel you’ve never been a slave,
You just trusted him for any choice;
We’re still rocking, everyone must remember
The legacy of the King…for ever
You should have done so much more
But fate betrayed you like a doll
Your memory remains as the core
Of your kingdom Rock’n’roll
